Our Approach

Our approach is holistic and personalised, and we often work alongside other professionals, such as speech and language therapists or occupational therapists, when it benefits the child’s overall support plan. If you're looking for someone who can walk alongside your family with expertise, warmth, and a focus on solutions, please do get in touch.

We offer therapeutic support for children and families through a range of flexible options, including home visits, in-clinic appointments, and school-based sessions. Whether your child is struggling emotionally, facing behavioural challenges, or going through a difficult transition, we provide tailored and compassionate care.

As well as child and family therapy sessions, we also offer:

  • Family Mediation Services
  • Co-parenting support strategies
  • Autism and ADHD Assessments
  • School Observations and Collaboration
  • Guidance with EHCP Applications and Appeals

About me

My name is Isadora Wainwright, and I am the Director of Wainwright Family Support, which I have been running since 2022 with the aim of providing in-depth, holistic support for families and children. I specialise in working with children (ages 4-17), focusing on their wellbeing, emotional development, and behaviour. My approach is compassionate and tailored, helping both children and families navigate challenging times, whether it’s through transitions, impulse control struggles, or simply when a child is not feeling themselves.

My approach is grounded in both professional training and lived experience. As a former member of the British Gymnastics Team, I understand the intense pressures young people face to perform, manage expectations, and balance school, activities, and personal life. This first-hand insight informs my compassionate, practical approach to supporting children through times of stress, anxiety, or emotional difficulty.

Alongside my psychological training, I’m also a qualified teacher. This dual perspective gives me a deep understanding of how school environments, academic demands, and social pressures can affect children — and how challenging it can be for parents to navigate it all.

In our work together I will ensure that your child feels understood, and that you are equipped with the tools to cope whilst creating a positive space for change. I offer in-clinic sessions, school visits, and home sessions to ensure comprehensive and accessible support. By engaging in open conversations, we develop personalised support plans that respect each child’s strengths and unique needs. In addition to general support, I specialise in autism assessments, ensuring that children receive the right guidance and care for their journey forward.

Our Clinics

Our clinics offer children a welcoming, child-friendly environment unlike traditional clinical spaces.

Home & School Visits

For those who prefer an even more familiar environment, we offer Home Visits as long as a private space is available. We can also arrange School Visits, ensuring that therapy fits seamlessly into your child’s school day, minimising disruption to their routine and keeping family time intact. Our flexible approach helps us meet each family’s unique needs in a supportive, adaptable way.
